This is an Emco Compact5 CNC lathe that has been converted to run with Mach3. The X axis uses the original stepper but the Z axis uses a servo. The tool changer has been uprated with a faster motor.

    Is there anything on this conversion on the web.
    I am in the process of redoing an old Emco compact5 that was done in the past with a home made breakout and controller I have the motors connected but need to get the speed control sorted etc unfortunatly i am not a electronics guy but manage to get there in the end.
