Question: Can bromine be decolorised both in the presence of light and in the absence of light?
Students have come up with their own misconceptions regarding this topic.

One of the misconceptions identified:
- Alkenes can only decolourise bromine in the absence of light. In the presence of light, alkenes do not decolourise bromine.
