Hmmm, creepy, Placebo has brought me and my ex together and after over 4 years we now broke up because I have to move away to another country for work. I have burned this song (among others) on a CD I gave her after we broke up. Well, music has been a big part of us not only regarding Placebo...

No, it's not right. Steve's bron in manchester indeed. Stefan is Swedish and was born in Göteborg, but he moved to Luxemburg as a child. Brian was born in Brussels (Belgium, like me!) but his father is American and his mother Scottish. He has the double nationality US/UK. He grew up in different countries, one of which was Luxemburg.
