TOP 10:Combat Rifles - M14(No.10)

The M14 looks like the M1 Garand and the M1 Carbine

I'd prefer a Remington 700 in .300 WSM over these two, but I still want both because they might be baned in the near future.

to be honest no. i did shoot a mp5 and a 9mm pistol thats it. but i knwo a lot about guns.
m14- more reliable, harder hitting cartridge, weight's more. m1§ has good accuracy and combat performance tough:) still i like the fal better then these 2:p

I own an M1A. Civilian M14 without the full-auto notch on the stock. Acurate two. Stoping power fizzles out around 4-600 yards but its acurate up to 1,000. but this list is moot. the efectivenes of firearms will ultimately be determined by user and army. Two eaxmples. Nazi germany had the best equipment and firearms and lost. Two They say the 1911 is the best fighting handgun ever, howeve i shoot beter in every way with a S&W 686. Fun to debate though

The Springfield, which is a great sniperrifle, is a modified Mauser 98

i think the M14 would be higher up on the list..I would place it at #7.

m14 hands down best damn sniper rifle ever the people who made cod4 fucked it up wih the recent update the m14 should be so much better

Yup, as Toolofdeath pointed out, you are thinking about the M1 Garand, not the M1A. So, you are completely wrong. :)

Look up M1A, or even pull up a youtube video and you will see an M1A.

You're thinking of the M1 garand, we're talking about the Springfield M1A. Google springfield M1A. It is the same rifle without fully automatic fire.

You are completely wrong. They look similar, but the inner workings are completely diffrent. the m1 used clips loaded from the top while the m14 used magazines loaded from the bottom. late m14s were almost always single fire only because m14s on full auto caused barrel problems
