Recently, the news has been alive with stories about problems associated with additives found in microwave popcorn (popcorn lung, of all things!). I had my own concerns years ago and began experimenting with making popcorn in the microwave, which I still wished to use (air popping dries out the corn), and thought I would share the results. You really can use your microwave...no special bags or artificial stuff needed. You need a m-waveable glass (not plastic) bowl with a vented or loose fitting lid and a tapered bottom (not sure why...it just works better), a separate bowl to pour out the results, an oven mitt (the m-waved bowl gets very hot) and little butter (real) and salt (if you wish). My oven is 1.0 cu. ft. and 1100W and you will have to adjust to yours. Fill the tapered bottom with popcorn (sorry, but you'll be disapointed using anything but Orville's) and microwave 3 min. Remove what's popped and refill the bottom leaving the unpopped kernals. Microwave 2 min, 45 sec. You'll end up with only a half dozen unpopped kernals.
that is true
but whaat does it have to do with anything?
XD
NOTICE when he drops the glass bowl on the counter top it sounds like a Sniper Rifle

No need to wash paper bags.
