i know what it is like man i get tons of calls a month and hardly anybody thanks us just complains we wernt there fast enough thanks for telling the world our story

I'm starting a firefighting academy in just a couple weeks. I can't wait to start.

some people have some nerve to complain about how slow ff respond...most of them are to blame becasue their the dumb asses that dont move outa the way when the engine is roaring down the street... we should show firefighters the respect they desevre!!

I am a Capt. on a Fire Rescue Dept. We run anywhere between 300- to 400 calls a year. and every one grips and complains cause we didnt get there fast enough or they lost their house cause they wait to call the Dept. In Sept of 07 we lost a Firefighter in the call of duty. All i have to say is if you think we have so easy do what we do, spend a day in our shoes and then tell me if you really want us around.

depends. My small town FD is relaxed, my first day i put my handcock on a paper and they let me ride out and watch. Now they all know me and trust me enough that i actually do work on medical and fire calls. Go to your nearest Department that you wish to work with and explain that you would like to see if its possible to ride along with the FD and help out around the station.

Loved it. I hope people see this and gain a new respect for us. It ran goosbumps down me when i watched this. I love it alot. I hear people talk crap about firefighters saying they arnt needed. Well i always tell them "have your house burnt to the ground while a family member is still inside and see if you still want us to leave." and they never have a come back for that. Im a dadgum 15 yearold Jr. Firefighter and loveing every second of it. I'll be joining full time after college at the same FD

I will always be proud of you I want you to know that. Always.

You guys do a lot of work that without you, there would be much more loss and sadness in this world. My girlfriend is going to become a firefighter, and i am god damn proud of her for it. Hell, it scares me sometimes, knowing it could be her last day today, but i still am damn proud of her.

This video is about what is says not the pictures.....ummm we know as well as the firefighter that helped make this is 4th generation....think he might have a clue?? Yes firefighting is much more then just fighting fires it is a life but no one is debating that so not sure why this is an issue?

extinguish fire is very tiny part of a firemans job, maby 0,0001 % of the time. And this video shows fires in almost every clip. this video gives a false impression of being a fireman. i know.

iam a firfighter in a small county in ga and everyone knows me but thay dont know what i do and when asked how can a normal person run into a buring building when everyone is running out....... to them i always say firefighters are not normal lol great video
