Wrc Rally Ireland 2007 Crash

i build mk2 escort rally cars.with the wheels locked up you have no steering he wasnt going that fast anyway and its a group n not a wrc.

u obviously don't know much about rallying.Da roads were like grease. I was it and I found it hard to drive, never mind a wrc car going flat out

The man in the wheel chair was my godfather, his legs black and blue now, could have been worse though I suppose.
Dangerous enough rally's are.

i hate spectators ;p go watch on tv :P ! or find a really safe place. cause the drive of rally can lose the control any time ...

Finnwrc, s up, at the end of the day no one was hurt with a bit of luck. but the standard of safty has to be addressed, how can u be let stand on the side of a junction where the speeds are at there highest and the car is under most strain when braking down, ive seen so many closes ones, and ur not let stand where the speeds is only picking up out of the junction u have to be like 100 yards up the road, i kno one person if he was still alive wouldn except the standards at the moment

Finnwrc,what sarcasam,look it's quite clear there is a problem in irish rallying the most dangerous place to be standing is on the entrance to a bed where the speeds are still high while braking but yet your let stand there, and not let stand on the exit of the junction unless ur like 100yards away I kno of one man who most definetly wouldnt stand for the standards of satey in rallying at the moment if he was still alive

I was stood on this junction, the spectators hadn't crept forward. This is just an example of unpredictable rallying. As a marshal, there would have been no reason not to let the specs stand there.
And SurSpeed, you don't have a clue what you're talking about.

the safety was as good as was practicaly possible and it was just unlucky that svendlund lost it.

I seen the crash too. Runnimg a free rally will always pack in the spectators. The Arigna stage was more like Gold Rush. The fans packed in from the early hours but still safe as any other WRC.The car was a back no and spectators creep fprward after the top cars go through.

Yeah yeah ban wrc from Ireland, loads of people got killed and lost body parts because of all the crashes. what you on about you tool, everything ran perfect ok apart from above footage. unless you have other footage to back up your statment..

This is typical of the Irish spectators and organizers; I saw many of them, including safety staff with the text "SAFETY At Its Place" in such places. WRC should ban the Ireland from any further participation !

Very very lucky guy in the wheel chair. I bet he had a good view of it tho.
