People relating personal experiences to songs shouldnt stop you liking a song. it should make no difference in how you feel towards a song just because somene else can relate to it. if it does, your pretty much just shallow tbh :/ music is music, lyrics are lyrics. Theyre mostly writing so that people can hear and relate to them. this is an amazing song. one of their best!

No, acually when you put some thought into it and really hear what the song is saying you can understand that what he's tlking about is that sometimes you are trapped by someone eles, and you HAVE to leave that person to get what you want and need.... it's about letting go... the biggest choice of your life. I should no... i've had to do it. So bye saying goodbye you get a 2nd chance at happieness...sad but true....
