omg :o getting a westie in 5 weeks...and I live in the 4th floor :S and there's no elevator

wat onearth r u talking about r u the dumest person on the flippin planet chiwawas stay that size and im sure they go up and down the stairs all the time u people realy need 2 get a life!!!

my westie did this at first too - they get it eventually and my dog now climbs the stairs 2 at a time

my westy is 4 months and he walks up and down the stairs just fine!oh! and nice vid ☆☆☆☆

My westie used to do that..but only I was allowed to carry him but one day I heard him come down the stairs I thort he was falling but he didnt he was fine =D now he legges it up and down the stairs at any chance.

Yea, LilaSkywalker is right...I didn't even know that and I thought: That dog is waaaay too small to be expected to go down that step without potentially hurting itself.

Our vet told us she had to be watched but at four months i agree she should be allowed to explore the house fully. there not racing up and down all the time, and they do look vey very sweet. Nice vid 5/5

This is true for large breed dogs but not for most small breed dogs. She is nearly four months in this video and this is a reasonable age to train a pup to use the stairs safely.

cute dog but i think i read somewhere that puppies aren't supposed to climb up and down stairs, cause it is damaging to their hips as they are not fully grown yet.

my pup is 2 months and he can climb up stairs......not down

my westie is the same way! though thats cus my mom says she (the dog) fell all the way down the wooden stairs to the tile :( but before then she would try to follow me up the stairs, she get like 4 or five steps up and get stuck there cus she was too afraid to move. now she's smarter, she just sits at the end of the steps and howls haha

My dogs were terrified of the stairs when i first got them. now they are terrified of the pool.
