  • 'i could fight for ...

'i could fight for a year and have all that money and those toys again, but that's not who i am anymore.' exactly correct. the signs were there when he got rid of rooney and started 'running things'. great fighters don't 'run things'. they get run. when tyson took the driver's seat it was down hill from there. as jack dempsey said, "it's hard to get up and go running in the snow at 6am when you're wearing silk underwear."

  • Lets just put it ...

Lets just put it this way. in 50 years, we wont remember Holyfield or Lewis, if so, barely. But we will remember Mike Tyson, and our kids will know who he was. His legacy is way more powerful than any heavyweight around in the past 20 years. Tyson was the man, nobody could stop him in his prime.

i have never seen this kind of S**t in my life. what candor this guy has about himself, his career, his legacy. he was boxing for weed? come on, who would say that? he gets more affirmative about his abilities as aboxing historian than as a fighter. amazing. whoever posted this, god love you, this is great stuff. fascinating dude...

  • sh1znack- 11 years ...

sh1znack- 11 years ago Lewis took Tyson to court to make Tyson fight him, Tyson paid Lewis 4 million not to. Yes he said Tyson was formidabble and the best in the eighties after he had trained with him in 1984, Tyson was so advanced for his age compared to Lewis.

  • every man has made ...

every man has made mistakes either circumstancially or intentionally.mike was victim of media hype, child pooverty at the end of the day only thing that could heal him was HEART LOVE not media coverage. an average person could have never bared what mike survived in early days, he became champ one of the best boxers in history. winning and losing is sports all abt. it has nothing to do with one's personal life. some of definitons "man" were life lessons for all

  • I love the way the ...

I love the way the media portray this guy as some simpleton dumb Neanderthal thug! The reality is that this is very articulate guy, who seems to be struggling with who he is. Just wants to be a man and provide for his family. Very humble and nice individual.
