From my site: http://www.lookgreat-loseweight-savemoney.com/ this video explains how to target short layers in your long layered haircut to a specific place. Curly hair is a bit tricky to cut since you need to have straight hair to do the long layered cut. Therefore, measure your hair when it's dry with the curls still in it, then mark your guide, then wet it to straighten it. find your guide, then cut it bluntly, just like in the long layered cut video. IF you have any questions or are unsure of yourself, don't try it. Go to a hairdresser who can do it for you, and explain the haircut to her. You can always get more great tips from my site about your hair. Feel free to ask me questions too, at http://www.lookgreat-loseweight-savemoney.com/hair-care-questions.html
Thanks!

so sum1 please reply and HELP me!!!
Glad it came out well for ya. Most people don't understand that I too have curly hair. I blow it out straight most of the time so it looks straight(er). It gets really curly if I don't. Kudo's to you for going for it. My motto is, we learn best from our mistakes. I'm a hairdresser who taught herself how to cut my own hair cuz I got tired of other hairdressers messing it up or cutting too much off. At least if I mess it up, I understand better what NOT to do the next time. X0

By lapoeta2nv [Affiliate User] 1218245609 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveJust take your time! Just cuz this is a youtube video doesn't mean it doesn't work! I'm a hairdresser for gosh sakes and I've got curly hair. I only want to help folks! Be sure to account for your curls. Make it longer than you think, pull your hair up equally on both sides and you should be fine. Leave the front hair in the front of your ponytail and the back in the back. For more tips, see my video entitled 'long layered cut'. Its the same cut but for long straight(er) hair.

By xoxpirateloverxox [Affiliate User] 1215196585 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI've used this method for trims, and it always works quite well. I never thought of using the rubber band to measure it out, that's a pretty good idea.
By firstsquid [Affiliate User] 1215093703 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI just have to say.. thank you, thank you, thank you!
Because of petrol prices (and the fact I live in the middle of nowhere) the lowest price for a hair stylist (walmart) comes out to about 80 dollars or more. My only option has been at home!
I just cut my hair (middle back, thick and curly) according to your instructions and it has turned out wonderfully. No more damage and it has really nice movement!
My hair thanks you. My bf thanks you and I thank you!!
uuummmm y wud u even depend on youtube.... thats wat a salon is for... dont blame her and tell her not to quit her day job.... how bout u get some money and get it professionaly cut smart 1... stay n skool
By mizzbitCh235 [Affiliate User] 1214910362 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThis cut works for many people. Why it didn't work for you I have no clue. I wasn't there so I can't tell you. If you were just trimming your hair, you wouldn't have a 2" gap my dear. Trimming usually implies 1/2". Also if you had experience with cutting hair, you'd have never made that mistake. What you wrote doesn't make sense at all. I am however, sorry about your hair. Thats all I'm gonna say.
By notaditdot [Affiliate User] 1214537737 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removei cut my hair all the time. its not like ive never done it before. i didnt want to cut it cut it, i just wanted to trim it and layer it. i also had my hair straightened at the time that i cut it so curliness wasnt the problem. all it did was cut one section of my hair about 2 inches wide, 2 inches shorter than the rest of my hair.
By starshine978 [Affiliate User] 1214422534 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI do not know why you did not get good results as I've done this haircut many times before on me and it always worked. If you are unsure about cutting your own hair, don't do it. I say that in my videos all the time! Curly hair is especially tricky! I guess my own experiences in cutting hair helped me a lot. If you are growing out your hair to donate, why would you cut it? That doesn't make sense. I am however, truly sorry you didn't get good results.
By notaditdot [Affiliate User] 1214393737 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethat was horrible. my hair is now uneven so i have to cut 2 inches off. i didnt want to cut my hair because im trying to grow it out to donate again. thanks a lot. dont quit your day job.
