Being a huge AB fan, I am not sure if I will be able to bring myself to watch because of that. It seems all so unfair that it will possibly overshadow the movie itself.

As will all movies there is a lot of poetic licence involved and huge overplay of Mandela's part in the whole thing. And there is also the omissions from the movie. Huge glaring omissions at that. It is a well-known fact that the majority of the ABs side were suffering from food-poisoning in that game. Whether it was deliberate/foul-play is obviously another story.
