disagree if he tried taking chuck down, chucks takedown defense is way to good and it would of set chuck up for punchs while wavndy was of balance. he had no chance at a clinch because chuck was keeping his distance and when they were close it was when chuck was punching him. the only thing i think wanderlei could of done to beat chuck was use more kicks.

i think wanderleis pride took over in this matchup with the iceman. if he had got the clinch , which he had a few opportunities to, the all he had to do was put those devestating knees in and bbye bye chuck, but he decided he wanted to slug it out. his ground game is also better than lidells but he didnt take him down, he wanted to knock him out with his fists, and that was his downfall in my opinion, anyone agree?

i am an mma novice and we have only recently started combing punching with our groundwork
but to be honest i have noticed as soon as you can finish someone on the floor with a punch, which in many cases is easier than going for a choke or knee bar or whatever you tend to go for that as it is easier, so whereas he may be a black belt in BJJ this is not A BJJ competition, this is an MMA competition, the objective is to win!

Chuck didn't 'slip' contrary to what the terrible commentators say. He was knocked down. Nevertheless, I still think Wanderlei lost the fight, and the way Wanderlei was acting after round three..he thought so too.

in terms of bodybuilding how many reps does he do for exercises....

And again, Silva is a black belt in BJJ. If the ONLY thing he could think do do to an opponent on the ground is foot stomping them, then he should have his black belt taken away.

how could wand loose this fight? I still cant believe it. He knocked chuck down twice in the second round. That means a 10:8 round for wand. The first round was equal and the third went to chuck. So in my oppinion wand at least scored a draw or a victory.
