Aspartame has given me headaches :O no joke!

I used to drink a ton of diet cokes too. after i got to college, i thought i had ADD went on aderol...the whole lot. I always had curiosity as to if it was ok to drink so much coke. This summer i quit diet cokes...and it was hard man. but now i lack those not harsh but mild headaches and i can finally sit down with some regular caffeine and study away...ect ect. i'll still enjoy a diet cherry coke though that's just what the family always had around

i had no idea that aspartame was bad at all, until i drank 2 Diet Green Tea drinks in 1 hour and my throat swelled up so badly i could barely breathe. after researching more i am convinced that aspartame is in fact a very unhealthy additive

just because something doesnt kill you right away does not mean its not killing you.
Ex.Fluoride,Alcohol,Cigarrettes,microwaves, cell phones etc.

Ok, I can see where you're coming from. I shouldn't be angry at you for thinking that, because I never told you that these symptoms come back before I even have a clue that it's in whatever had aspartame. I don't suspect whatever food or beverage had aspartame before they return; I only realize they have it when they return and I look at whatever I added to my diet.

I am not passionate about Aspartame. I could care less really...

I am doing this because I found this page one day and it occurred to me that conspiracy theorists are running wild. BUT THE CONSPIRACY DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. Before I got here, the comments for this video were a shining example of how propaganda media like this clip can warp the way people think. The burden of proof lies with the accuser. NO ONE CAN PROVE ASPARTAME IS TO BLAME.

Have you ever heard of a panic attack? The interesting thing about them is, individuals who experience them tend to become more prone to them simply because they worry about their return. It becomes a vicious cycle, where their fear of the symptom ACTUALLY CAUSES IT. It becomes of little consequence what caused the initial incident. Placebo experiments because people THOUGHT they had a problem with something, until they were told otherwise. Sadly, your situation is no different.

Stephen: I am not a doctor, but I am using common sense. My point still stands: The variety of the "symptoms" is not compatible with an allergic reaction. I am a human. I (like most people apparently) ingest Aspartame with no ill effects, so it can't be a poison. Therefore, I would consider any "symptoms" to be an aberration. Is that doctor-y enough for you?

So, StoneThrowingDevil, you're saying it's my fault it causes me to suffer these symptoms? Hmm... never heard of ANYTHING that only harms if you believe it will hurt you. Don't throw the placebo effect at me, either; they started long before I knew it was harmful. If that wasn't what you meant, please: enlighten me.

If you say you are suffering from Aspartame, It can be only 2 things: Allergic Reaction or Self Fulfilling Prophecy. Clearly it is not poisonous, because people (like myself) consume it daily with no ill effects. If it were allergy related, it would have more specific symptoms. (Coughing, Hives, Etc.) Aspartame has too many different symptoms (92 officially) to be allergy related. Therefore, I would guess that it is SELF FULFILLING PROPHECY. In Laymen terms: YOUR OWN DAMN FAULT

Plus, the approval of aspartame reeks of corruption. Under Carter, the head of the FDA staunchly opposed the passing of it. Donald Rumsfeld, the head of the company who invented NutraSweet, was a financial sponsor of the Reagan campaign. Very early into his term, Reagan fired the current head of the FDA, and their successor quickly approved it. Does anyone besides me see something very wrong here?

Oh yes, and to keep you from saying, "It's just a coincidence", I can turn these symptoms on and off like a switch by whether or not I consume aspartame.

Ok, so explain why if I start drinking diet soda daily, I become insomiac and start having trippy dreams, but when I stop, they magically disappear!

"Aspartame gave me a headache once. And in 5th grade, Aspartame broke my right arm. And I contracted Herpes from Aspartame back in Saigon. If these people were given a placebo, and told it was Aspartame, they would show symptoms. Aspartame has been in our food for over 27 years now. 10,000 reports??? In 27 years?!?!? What a joke! All pop is bad for you,,, Many of the things the FDA allow us be poisoned by are only known to people when you comsume alot of it,,Say,, 9 diet cokes a day, So it is poisonous at any level, but they count on most people not consuming that much in one day
