WVU Basketball - Mountaineers Beat WF in NCAA Tournament

Anything is possible but if they meet and I hope they do UNC I believe will shatter that record aobut beating the big 4 and as much as I hate to say it in the alltime records dook has a winning record aganist Wvu

i believe as you should that anything is possible especially in college basketball...i like unc, i live 20 minutes from the campus, but im a bigger wvu fan...unc would still be the favorite no doubt in my mind...but an upset is never out of the question

you won't beat unc defintely not this year

priceless..wvu has now beaten 3 of the 4 major teams in north carolina:Wake Forest, NCST, and now Duke...bring on UNC....and wvu beat state about 3 times this past 4 years or so

Impressive WV win that Wake team was loaded and was better but WV wanted it more that night

I'll never forget that day as long as I live. March 19, 2005 was the day my brother died he was 25. I love those guys on that team they helped me through the worst day of my life. I love the Mountaineers I consider them a part of my family. Lets go Mountaineers!

No he didn't. The commentator said that West Virginia wanted to make sure that the worst case scenerio was that they go to overtime. What he meants was that West Virginia had the last possession, and the last thing they wanted was to miss a shot and give Wake a chance to win it in regulation.

Best game ive ever seen

That was the best basketball game I have ever seen.

I remember very distinctly picking Wake Forest to go all the way that year...

Needless to say, if anybody had to decimate my bracket, might as well be WVU! :)

I remember watching this game and thinking Gansey was the best player on the earth that night! That was a great game.

Wow. At the end of both regulation and the end of the first overtime, the commentator said it was a "worst case scenario" for WVU to go into an overtime. I wonder what the best case scenario would have been.

Still the greatest game I have ever seen. I miss that team.

that is definitely one of the highlights in Mountaineer basketball!!! I'm so jealous my sister got to go to that game! I miss that team!
