yea, he has an 'earthy' quality to his voice, it is nice

i know what you mean, but i think that it sounds really good the way it is, like in this song and in the song "where do you think your going?". his voice is pretty cool i think.

knopfler, not a very good singer though, needs to speak up and not mumble into the microphone (see other live videos to know what im talking about) still good though. his guitar playing is decent

Few weeks ago*, I meant to say. :P

I heard this the first time few weeks on a Knopfler gig, I only had his Dire Straits albums and his newest and it was a really positive surprise to hear Mark play some of these great songs I hadn't heard. I just had to get more of his older records. ;)
