Fluffy, a reticulated python, python reticulates, is considered the world's largest exhibited snake. Fluffy is 24 feet long, 300 pounds, and 15 years old. Fluffy's waist is the size of a watermelon.

Pythons catch an animal with their teeth and then constrict around it to suffocate it.

Females incubate their eggs by coiling their body around them. They keep them at a constant 89 C. They even shiver to maintain the right temperature.

Fluffy was supposed to make an airplane trip, but it was cancelled after the movie, Snakes on a Plane, came out.

Jack Hannah of the Columbus zoo has taken Fluffy on the David Letterman show.

According to Guinness World Records 2005, the world's longest snake was a reticulated python, which was 32 ft. 9.5 in. It was killed in Celebes, Indonesia, in 1912. Fluffy came to the zoo recently and the signs shown in the video (.42 & .49) give the information about her.

    the largest snake was found in indonesia in 1912 and it was 32 ft long. Fluffy is the biggest snake in captivity but i think is already dead from what i heard from other people. There may be even larger in the wild somewhere.

    what fluffy lacks in length he makes up in girth and weight makeing him the largest python in captivity..(not the longest) fluffy is a tiger reticulated python which is a more common genetic aleil for retics it is just behind the yellow-head alleil in natural occurance.

    what fluffy lacks in length he makes up for in girth and weight...i have personaly seen longer reticulated pythons but some spanning up to 27 feet (longest ive seen) weigh less than fluffy who is currently around 410 pounds nearly 2/5 heavier than he should be if anything fluffy is on the fluffy side of reticulated pythons (fat)
