Paul Ekman is teaching a pseudo science like NLP. It has it's new age followers who will attack anyone who tells them they are not endowed with learned super powers. Expressions are seen and learned with out knowing the feelings behind them. Nobody knows why they make the expressions they do -- just that someone else did them.
