"Lonely person to lonely person call..." harmonizes the 5th Dimension starring Marilyn McCoo and Florence La Rue. As it turns out, the title of this entree is really "The Girls' Song". The song was a gift/tribute to the two lovely and talented ladies who serve as beautiful inspirations to the male fans of this legendary musical group. The ladies are inspirations for the female fans as well but mainly because of their distinctive vocal talents.

Most of Jimmy Webb's compositions have really fresh, dramatic chord changes. He is a true master of composition, similar to Burt Bacharach.

I generally do not like the Fifth Dimension, but I always thought this was an outstanding song. Interesting chord changes, strong vocals. It didn't make much of a ripple on the charts, though. Maybe that's why I liked it, it didn't get played to death. Thanks for posting it.
