  • Awesome power! His ...

Awesome power! His heart was really in that one. No mistakes. Hey anyone who wants to answer I am thinking of learning Karate and so far I have three choices 1: Shurite, 2: Shotokan, 3: Goju-ryu which one you recommend? I have taken Shotokan before I know goju has more circular movement and things like that but I know nothing about Shurite. And how can I know it's actually shurite anyway isn't Shurite rare?

It is 30 years since I have done shotokan. I have seen Kanazawa and others but (whilst I understand that there is some debate as to the origins of this Kata )it is one of the best executed that I have seen.
    Thank you for postng this.

  • Haha, yes I know ...

Haha, yes I know its a Shuri-te adaptation of Suparinpei. But the short sharp movements, long stances and the application of force or "Kime" is definately Shuri-te rather than Naha-te. Reminds me of the days when I was in transition from Shotokan to Goju-ryu:)

Hmm.. Pecherin 72, I think it s very Naha-te.. It's more closer to Naha-te (Goju Ryu).. I think u made an mistake :) Coz, u told it s related with Suparinpei of Goju Ryu :D
