Ray kicking the @ss of a british F****t ...
By dante2003 1233777365 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeor maybe you just cant accept the fact Ray met someone better than him. when you are a 3-1 fave as Leonard was, you are SUPPOSSED to beat the other guy! SRL was winning wasn't he? He won his last fight 12/12 rds. How does this add up to a washed up fighter? It dont.
Fact: Leonard hadnt lost a fight in 11 yrs and Terry beat the pants off of him with his speed, & toughness. Terry was suppossed to back down when the going got tough and instead it was Ray who got intimidated and took the whipping
you poor brainwashed sap. is this what someone else told you. becuz Duran was not at his peak fighting 2 weight classes past his normal fighting weight and his 14th year as a pro-about the same number Leonard had when he met Norris.
Hearns had another 3 years to go before reaching his so credit Hagler for that one.
Ray vs Norris? he just couldnt handle someone who was faster than him. that's why he lost the way he did
wow this is some spurious reasoning. I suppose McBride was better than Tyson & Harrington was better than Robinson, too
By huthut91 [Affiliate User] 1230072121 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveLeonard was well past his best by the time he boxed Norris. Leonard boxed them all at their peak Duran, Hearns etc. Leonard at his peak would have destroyed Norris
By soul43man [Affiliate User] 1227474262 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removebecuz he beat his ass thats why, isnt it obvious?
and leonards record is nothing great, 36-3-1
probably 35-5 if you want to overlook the two robberies
how can anyone say norris was better than leonard no comparison Leonards record speaks for its self
By soul43man [Affiliate User] 1227304404 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThey beat him easily but he was way past his best by then. I'm talking about Leonard in his prime. That Ray Leonard would have beaten Norris and Camacho easily
By glavencarp [Affiliate User] 1227202630 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removei know someone better than ray leonard and that is terry norris and camacho. they detroyed him with ease
By Piglatinsuperstar [Affiliate User] 1227194866 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveLeonard was easily the best fighter of the 1980s.......he defeated Benetiz, Duran, Hagler and Hearns (3 of them inside the distance). Anyone who has even a basic understanding of boxing would have to acknowledge his greatness as a fighter.
By glavencarp [Affiliate User] 1225921957 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveAre u an idiot or is that you havent a clue about boxing...,Ray Leonard is one of the best fighter's ever,Norris was a very good fighter wit a glass jaw,he beat a faded sugar ray...,as for having more inside him..what are you on,ray fought and beat Hagler,Hearns,Benitez,Duran, great fighter's,Norris beat great fighters past it...,i dont even kno why im explaining,if u really beleive what u said then u kno F**k all about boxing..
By dhlfh [Affiliate User] 1223312506 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removemeldrick taylor, don curry, srl, who he beat with ease. mugabi was just a shell by then so he dont count but i still like the way terry snap his head back and make him go all stiff. terry make john fall over like a oak tree that been cut down. terry just too tough for all those guys. the way he beat Simon Borwn in the rematch is the greatest exhibition of all time. Terry Norris was the best before roy Jones come along. floyd jr good too but he still in roy's shadow
By Piglatinsuperstar [Affiliate User] 1222557240 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemovePiglatin - In another thread said 1991 SRL was just as fast as SRL of 1979-1982. Shows how much he knows about boxing.
Question? When Terry Norris was champion, who did he fight with speed.
Donald Curry and Ray Leonard were past there primes
terry norris wasnt in his prime yet and ray was supposse to beat him anyways so i dont know what youre crying about. terry is just better than ray and thats the way it is.
i give ray props for being a great fighter but terry had more inside where it counts and thats what sets him apart from ray
Leonard was five miles past his prime when he lost to Terry Norris which anybody with a slight sense of boxing history -- or, for that matter, time -- would know.
