    Well, look at the knife attacker's left hand. He isn't using it at all. In reality, he would use it, to break the defenders grip or to confuse him, and then strike with the knife.

    Depends, knives are only as useful as the people using them. Simple knife actions can be stopped, but if you are using it in certain ways then Aikedo techniques may not be useful.
