He taught richthofen how to dogfight too and He's still regarded as the father of dogfighting tactics. It's not just about the kills. Richtofen is praised for his personal score. It also helps when your country is losing and they need a LIVING hero to worship.

It was well noted that the various Jastas painted their kites in different colours. When Manfred painted his red one day, the next time they would all be red. Not many people know this. Oswald Boelcke was the true knight of the air. He was not shot down!!

all my friends in Germany speak perfect English and the RED BARON film will probably do very well all over Europe and moderatly well in the USA due to promotional money !! I'd really like to see this in Germany where it will be gonzo !!!

finde ich auch! es stimmt nämlich schlicht weg nicht das die deutschen (wie von den amis dargestellt)dumme idioten waren mti unterentwickelten kriegsmaschinen... im ersten sowei im zweiten weltkrieg konnten die deutschen die neuesten und hoch technologisiertesten waffen vorweisen und erfanden neben bei das erste düsenflugzeug, das maschinenegewehr und vieles andere was heute selbstverständlich scheint
