  • First of all,I find ...

First of all,I find no humor in a volunteer fireman moving a police car. Second of all, who do you think YOU are teaching a lesson to a police officer. You are dead wrong on where a police car can and cant park while responding to a call they were dispatched to. Finally, you started that nonsense by calling me "scoot". You, a 22 year old volunteer fireman calling me Scoot. Now ask yourself how I would know your dad passed away. Stop being such a know it all and do grow up.

  • How full of S**t ...

How full of S**t are you? If a police car is on scene first (working) park in front or back of it, don't make a production of it! You also said "we" move the patrol car. On who's orders? If you ever moved a police car where I'm from, you would be the one getting locked up! Grow up, and save that name Scoot for your Daddy!

  • BGV the police by ...

BGV the police by you don't have any first aid training/certification? I don't believe that. Every state has a Police training commission or the likes of. EVERY police officer has training in first response first aid. So basically, you're full of S**t "scoot". In this video a police car was towed while the officer was on a call!! The tow driver got locked up! Good.
You are a volunteer fire fighter with an attitude toward the police.

  • yeah i actually do, ...

yeah i actually do, the police dept. by me don't have qualified medical certs. so whats the point they going to go into a EMS call or a fire shooting there guns, na i don't think so scoot, the thing is that they should pull up to the next house and walk out, no block the driveways or in front of house where the NEEDED... Resources have to be put in place.

  • also guy i am very ...

also guy i am very mature for my age, but the thing is we have cops in our village/town who think there EMT's which there not, pull up to the address, block the entrance for an Ambulance to park where it is the best spot to get the victim out. But hey keep up the job with the grow up and stop playing fireman, i think i am clear that firefighters do more than what some joe-smo actually see's and please about the stop playing fireman, what kind of public servant is under your belt if i may ask?

  • listen scoot, first ...

listen scoot, first off i meant it as a general call not a fire, i am sure if it was a fire we wouldn't care we have priority, but when you show up to a medical call with a police cruiser blocking the most vital spot to be for an ambulance thats when we do it, we take a person who is non-medical qualified to move it so it doesn't interrupt the operation of the call, if it was a serious call then it would be different but for a med.call that we get called to 3 times a week thats when we move it.

  • Good point! ...

    Good point!
Having worked for the City of Denver Air Pollution Program, I have spoken with Police Departments about leaving their engines running.
They believe their radios and computer may drain the battery too low. (Also, some officers like to be in air conditioning.)

Running the lights causes the engine to use more fuel to power the additional load on the alternator. (Even daytime running headlights cause more fuel to be used. So on my vehicle, I placed an ON/OFF switch on them.)

  • You must not know ...

You must not know how it works. I have seen plenty of cops sitting there doing nothing routinely leaves their vehicle running when they could cut the ignition and save the tax payers some money but they really don't care. So why would it have been difficult to leave his flashers on?
