JHN is better than Tom Welling ...

JHN definitely has better screen chemistry with Lana. Although he wasn't a great actor, he had and Stacy Haiduk certainly had the same 'X Factor' that Chris Reeve and Margot Kidder and later Dean Cain and Teri 'Best Superhero Love Interest in anything ever' Hatcher had. Sadly, Smallville is devoid of any chemistry or quality whatsoever.

I kind of like the song. It's really enjoyable in a cheesy way, just like this show overall.

Still I remember the series well and I was more a Lana guy than a Lois one. Lana REALLY gets the shaft in the big scheme of things. Shame because to a degree he kind of ruined her life.

Stacey and Gerald were actually great friends and i still believe that they catch up with each other now and again...I find that Gerald is gorgeous still, i have seen recent pics of him and he is in amazing shape....i would mine those arms around me...not that i found John Newton ugly...far from it...and the reason he was replaced in Superboy in the first season is that fact that he got a DUI and it was bad for the image...

I agree with you ! Just int his serie i prefer Lana and Clark but in Smallville I'm waiting since a long time, to see Clark with Lois (Erica Durance) They are a very beautiful couple better than Lana (Kristin that I don't like)and Clark !!!

Gerard always sounded like he had a lisp, but you're right, he had the better acting skills. He says he tried out for the Superman Returns part, but was a no go.

True, Stacy does seem to have a better on screen chemistry with John Newton. It may not only have been that he was more her age but Ms. Haiduk was at the time of Season ONE involved with John Newton off-screen as well as on. This may be the reason for the better
chemistry between the two.

If you notice Stacy is jumping outta her shoes to kiss John Haymes Newton but you can sence the slight uncomfort and reluctance she has in kissing Gerard Christopher. John Haymes was still younger and better looking even though Gerard had the better acting skills and passion for the Superboy roll!
