As shown at http://canoecampfish.com - Well illustrated video showing how to fillet and clean Northern Pike and remove the y-bones. With the ybones gone the fillets are boneless. Contributions by my dog and kids.

    Well, yeah. I think if I were in the BWCA and could get walleye I would throw the northern back as well. Walleyes are much easier to fillet and a little better to eat. When you camp, you generally only keep what you can eat anyway.

    Your videos are good, but Northern Pikes are nasty. I always toss them back with the faith that the next hit on my line will be a Walleye or even better Lake Trout (right). Love BWCA. My favorite place on the planet. Best Lake for Trout: Ogish
