I agree with you, love Simon but the comparison was stupid as they have a very different way to sing the song! Me I loved Ruth more but is a personal thing as Leona is very good too!

I agree... I know it's big band week but the song is a lullaby from a mother to a baby... not a Bond track.
I have to say I like both versions but neither were reflective on what the song is about.

They are both great singers...but i think Ruth is more woman! Ruth has the attitude needed for the song. Leona's is softer and lighter, the song needs to be bold!

In my opinion, i think Leona's voice is what amazes people in the audience and for ruth, it's her stage presence and her good voice, but not as good as leona's voice. Ruth has the Look and character of the song and Leona has the vocal dazzlement. I like them both, but i would have to say i would listen to Leona's version, and i would Watch Ruth's Version.
P.S Ruth's "Purple Rain" was Great.

no need for comparison. Both leona and Ruth did good. At the end of the day it is down to listening pleasure, which both of them gave
