The 2 speaker system has a sweet spot anywhere in the room when frequency balanced properly. We only have 2 ears and if you heard the headphones virtual barbershop on headphones your kinda get the illusion but it cant match a set up on open speakers. Each frequency has to be on a level that relates with part bass and part treble of the sound. If you look at buildings of diferent sizes from an angle they can look the same. Simular with all the frequencys expect its altered into acoustical pattern

You dont need all them speaker to create full surround sound. 2 speakers can do all of it perfectly if the speakers and system use the right design. What really makes quality is arrival time/frequency relationship. The best thing about 2 speakers running full 3d sound is the fact they have to be set near perfect to get the illusion, where lots of speakers put it roughly in a direction but each speaker can ruin the frequency phase/time relationship and it ruins the quality of the frequency.

then.. if the outs of asus soundcard are these:
1 x Audio Line-out - (Front Channels)

Hi to everybody, I would like to buy an audio card for the famous logitech z-5500. Which is the good card among asus xonar d2 and creative x-fi xtreme music? I am interested for a good card for film and music.

Quite controversial this. The card is EAX2.0 certified, but it cunningly converts EAX5 commands into a set of instructions it can process. A kind of qusi-EAX5... Apparently there wasn't too much in it between eax 5 and this emulated attempt. Except that the eax5 did sound a bit more involving. On the other hand, the asus is powerful, and the emulated eax 5 on it will get better with new drivers.

nvm, I thing I'm going to get it. but one thing, is EAX 5.0 really important for games?? or does EAX 2.0 work fine??

Is the ultra fidelity thing a special edition of that card or is everyone of them called that? cause I can't find a Xonar D2 that's called ultra fidelity in any norwegian websites :\

This card looks very cool. I'm gonna buy it. This will work PERFECT with a Z5500... Sound drivers of Asus on motherboards arent always to great.
Oh and the reason the inputs are gold colored cause they are plated for a smoother sound.

Is this better for the Razer Barracuda in games and movies?
