Actually, that is not completely true.
Tony had his accident in 1968(?)(correct me if I'm wrong), and still kept the standard tuning.
It wasn't until Master Of Reality (the third album) Tony detuned his guitars.
Both "Black Sabbath" and "Paranoid" goes in E.
But the reason he chose to detune was partly of his fingers, I think, and partly because of Ozzy. Still, correct me if I'm wrong.
