    IIRC, Harry-Gregson Williams actually worked on a fair bit of The Rock's soundtrack, but most of the credit went to Hans Zimmer. That would probably be the best explanation for the Metal Gear-ish sound of the main theme.

    Last year, our band played an arrangement which contained themes from The Rock, and I have always felt it sounded very (VERY) similar to some of the themes from Metal Gear. Anyways... It's still an amazing soundtrack!
