In combat, ANY maneuver that bleeds off your energy to near-zero is suicide.

But for the sake of argument, the F-22's cobra is FAR more controlled than those performed by the SU variants. With SUs, it's alomst as if the pilots "throw" their planes into a maneuver and then hope for the best. By comparison, the F-22's moves are controlled and deliberate.

the F-22 Raptor a 21 century 5th generation fighter that has a price tag out of this world and still cant do the cobra as well as the SU-27.( a plane manufactured around the year 1986).

And su-27 it is the plane still the Soviet manufacture. You like to compare our out-of-date planes, to the novelties. Yet I will not see simulation of air fight between SU-37 and F-22, there is nothing to make comments here.

At su-37 these maneuvers are much more aggressive and sharper. And the plane looks in air more interestingly. F-22 does maneuvers it is lazy and slowly.

But in real battle, Su-27 has no chance to use these maneuvers:) In normal situation, Rapter don't need these maneuvers to win, except pilot want to make fun when head to Return To Base:)but raptor stil hold these skills as back back back up.

1st gen. would be MiG-15, F-16, etc. Small, subsonic jets armed with guns and/or unguided rockets.
