AS being thrower of everything....i have to say hammer is the hardest, because the technique in it requires a lot of skill and if you make a slighest mistake the whole throw is down. However Jav. does lead to a lot of inguries, taking a very heavey toll on the back. Discus is my favorite and that is all technique, and shotput is combined with speed and raw strenth with some technique, but speed is very important in shot. But Discus is BEST

All of the throws are difficult to Master... Javelin I would say leads to the most injuries. It is by far the most brutal on your joints.

i haven't tried hammer, i'm still competing in high school.

I have to disagree, while jav is hard to do I think hammer is definitely the hardest of the throwing events. It takes so much technique and if one thing is slightly off your throw is completely ruined.

Ok, even though I'm not javelin thrower, I still would credit it as a difficult event. All of the throwing events are. Discus is almost entirely technique, but javelin is a good combination of running, technique, and momentum.
