This unlikely trio astounded the audience at the 2007 Grammys. Corinne Bailey Rae, John Legend, and John Mayer took the stage together and each artist sang one of their songs while being accompanied by the other two. Rae started with "Like A Star" followed by a gorgeous "Coming Home" by John Legend. Rae harmonizing on the chorus with Legend was chill-inducing and brought me to tears. The medley ended with "Gravity" by John Mayer, who performed a wicked guitar solo before picking up the Grammy for best male pop vocal album.
pure talent and bliss (:

By TerryG2k [Affiliate User] 1206092580 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeso when does a song become pop? when it becomes popular? well, in that case, john mayer is making blues more accessible and moving it back into the main stream, kudos to him. and you should maybe do some homework on your blues....=P
By jennyzeng [Affiliate User] 1206056234 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI love how John Mayer tries as hard as he can to play like SRV and not like John Mayer. It was like Stevie ray stepped up on stage for the last 3 minutes of that...fuckin wannabe

By Joycorange [Affiliate User] 1206006665 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveTruely awe inspiring musicians! Corinne Bailey Rae has such a sweet yet affective voice, and her song with John Mayer's guitar was incredible. John Legend with his powerful and gentle song, backed by vocals that made the harmony chilling. & John Mayer, with his amazing song, and the expression that leaps from his voice and guitar... I love it. They all compliment each other so well. They should write together.
