Luciano Pavarotti (1935-2007) Born and died in Modena, Italy, Pavarotti was an Italian tenor who was known for his seemingly effortless high Cs during the early stage of his career.

Here, in a live Met performance in the1972/73 season of La fille du regiment, Pavarotti shows us exactly how brilliant his high Cs were.

Effortless singing...sometimes one gets the impression that he could hold the Cs forever (one live recording I have of him shows him holding the final note for 9 seconds before the orchestra made him move on!). Well, if you've got it, flaunt it.
