I meant that about most of the sharks caught not all of them. I don't think you know more then me. There are probally people who know more then you or me. And I know a lot about sharks. The people who know more about sharks then us are marine bioligist. They study sharks and know things before we do so they know more then you or me.

I know more about sharks than anyone. These sharks take off, and how do I know? We tag em and catch the same ones we tagged. So your wrong bud.

They look fine but they uallsally are tired one you let them go because they put a lot of energy into not trying to get pulled on land. So after a while they just stop swimming and drown in the water[ sharks need to swim to get water past there gills to breath] or thry get attacked by an other animal and don't have the energy to fight so they die. I know what I'm talking about because I am a shark expert.

Not at all, they all swim off and are perfectly fine. I've never had a shark wash on the beach after I caught one.

Still after you let the shark go it uallsally dies from drowing because its tired because it gave a lot of its energy to try to get away from your fishing pole.

Maybe on a boat, but not on the surf. I know someone who fishes with 30lb PowerPro and he loses a lot of sharks from tail whacks.

nice job, honestly you dont need huge gear to fish for sharks, you can bring them in easily with 20 or 30 lb test, its the rig that really matters

I use a single circle hook, and my rigs are usually 7ft long.

how do you go with casting 65lb line? whats your set up on the line, single hook or two? how longs your trace?

looks like a good time, it's fun to match the tackle to the fish. I got dumped with a 9/0 at Hatteras fishing for Blacktips in the middle of the day (most likely a Bull). Since then I've been using 12 & 14/0s,overkill for Blacktips but the big Bulls & Hammerheads don't get away as easy.

I have other gear for those sharks. Most of the time at the beaches I fish when the blacktips are around, those types of sharks aren't around.

Why are you using spinning gear for sharks? I know it's only a blacktip, but what if you hooked up with a big hammerhead,lemon or bull you would get smoked.

Probably around 80lbs and high 5's in length.

This is in florida. I was using a Fin-Nor OFS9500 spooled with 65lb PowerPro on a 13ft Breakaway HDX rod.
