John Kanzius from Erie, PA, was working on a cure for cancer, when he stumbled on a cure for the energy crisis as well.

He figured out a way to destroy only the cancerous cells in a human without harming the healthy ones. During this discovery, he also found that his machine can burn saltwater. Regular, old saltwater directly from the ocean.
