This is for real. I saw this a few years back on the show and they said that they both died. Good way for them to go considering they would have spent a long time in jail and this way I doubt they felt a thing at all...

No, as a matter of fact, I wouldn't. Because if a pair of kids decide to steal a lawnmower and run from the cops, they've usually displayed such behavior in the past and I would want nothing to do with them. Had the police called the chase off, it is still likely they would have continued to run and crash. How the hell are they going to know when the police have given up?
