Demo of the first Apple Macintosh by Steve Jobs, January 1984, in front of 3000 people. Andy Hertzfeld captured the moment quite well in his retelling: "Pandemonium reigns as the demo completes. Steve has the biggest smile I've ever seen on his face, obviously holding back tears as he is overwhelmed by the moment. The ovation continues for at least five minutes before he quiets the crowd down."

    "insanely great"

but either way, my opinion of Macs is that they are a waste of space that should be replaced by a pc.

  • So jobs and ...

So jobs and macintosh have always been full of themselves. Jobs is 'insanely' annoying.

MACINTOSH: insanely good! compensating much? Jeez, there is so much self praise and so little substance, it's corny. His audience of monkeys laps it up like they have done ever since.

    "insanely good" audience: yaaaaaaaaaay!!!!

  • Jobs is rich...but ...

Jobs is rich...but not really from Apple. Sure, they got him started, but most of his wealth came from his ownership position in Pixar. I understand he funded them in 1985 to the tune of $10 million. Sure, he got the $10 Mil from Apple...but it has turned into over $1 Billion. He doesn't even really take a salary from Apple. Maybe those auto CEOs begging for money from congress could take a page out of his book.
