How Did Animals in Thailand Know the Tsunami Was Coming?

As soon as he said "no animals lost their lives" I thought, "okay, let's not exaggerate." There were a lot of dead animals. But some definitely knew... there was an elephant ride in Thailand where all the elephants suddenly headed uphil. But we know why with them; studies show they "speak" through low-frequency vibes they can feel with their feet, so they would be able to feel the earth quiver.

My cat, however, slept through a 7.2 quake here in CA a few years back. So it's not all animals!

I think animals are more attuned to nature and its weather cycles. where we have, over centuries of life, been educated and 'learned' about the world, they have not and thus respond to its disturbances through other instinctive senses. basically i think its been selectively eliminated from human conscious mind. I agree also with the vibrations and frequency theory with animals versus humans. ever get headaches before/during severe storms? just thinking....

I have a possible explanation. Animals can hear sounds we can not. Like a dog whistle and they found that elephants communicate from miles apart with a very low pitch vocal sound that we can not hear. The animals can probably hear the low rumble of the tsunami approaching. Maybe they should set up a sound system that can pick up the sounds the animals are hearing as a warning system for approaching tsunami. The same can be said for earthquakes.

you can never separate religion and science. science wouldn't even exist w/o religion, coz man created science. humans use science to take away the fact that there is a supreme force that created EVERYTHING, including us humans. science is the ultimate form of reasoning, a total form of disbelief.
animals have instinct, their method of survival. though animals are subjective to humans, they have a unique ability to sense changes in their habitat, often times seeing the possible threats.

i dont mean to offend anyone, but this shows how lame and weak we humans have become... we have become lazy and leaning on our technology... that of which inferior to the gifts of those who actually live.

WTF has God to do with this???? Religion has its purposes, but don't try to explain rational phenomenons with religion, religion is there to help people get happy or whatever(or it was desined for that reason at least...) => but seperate religion and science will you=> my guess(not based on anything so it can easily be wrong) is that unlike humans animals still live instinctively=> so they probably feel natural changes( aircurrents, temperature changes, sonar waves...) better than we humans do
