The Ghost Dance represented a movement that embodied the hope of thousands of Native Americans who longed to have their land returned and be rid of white men. As a result, their movement was violently put down with many innocent Native Americans slaughtered at Wounded Knee.

    I agree 100%. Absolute shame the way they were treated. Worst part is, that type of imperialism happened pretty much all over the world. We have lost some fascinating and great cultures due to the ethnocentrism of middle age - modern Europeans.

    I agree.. I was only trying to show what kisilona most likely meant to say. It saddens me knowing what happened to the native people of america.. Things would've looked so different (probably better in a way) if the colonists had accepted and respected the ways of the native american people.
