*** WARNING *** to all dark eyed origafundamentalists contains some explicit footage...
My first attempt to turn Classic Lilies (or Irises) into a Kusudama. I used the cuboctahedron frame as a basis (12 lilies) and turned them into double lilies (another 12 req'd). I guess you could fill the centre of the squares again with 6*2 lilies, but I left it at the 12 doubles...

  • Ha ha, you're funny ...

Ha ha, you're funny. Right, but funny. Indeed origami is anti-glue/adhesives, but the author doesn't claim it to be origami, and that is why there is the funny comment about graphic images.

Gotta say, this one has some good visual appeal to it, although I still like the Kusudama better, and that one truly is origami.

  • Hi barbabellaatje!! ...

Hi barbabellaatje!!!... I think it is good to use glue... In fact, for the real kusudama, you sew the pieces together...

FROM WIKIPEDIA: "The Japanese kusudama is a paper model that is usually (although not always) created by sewing multiple identical pyramidal units (usually stylized flowers folded from square paper) together through their points to form a spherical shape. Alternately the individual components may be glued together"...
