    -lump works well except it requires more "tenderin' of the fire". Lump is less predicable, more like wood off the woodpile. Some use a little bit of both....we use top quality briquettes, add some lump, and then some hardwood....depending on the recipe. Do it this way and your neighbors will start stoppin' by without an invite. -BBQ Pit Boys
