SC:TV: 9TH WONDER INTERVIEW: The Art of Sampling

wanna start off saying your one of the BEST producers to ever to chop records and i think you style is dope. i make beats from scratch and i also sample. when i sample, it's just for fun and i got my style from studying you, Madlib, *J Dilla* and MF Doom. right now i'm working on a mixtape and spreading the word around the internet about what i'm doing. i hope people take notice.......1

hey man, i phrased my statement wrong... i'm not hating on 45 king... i only used stan as an example because its so well known, and most people talking S**t on here wouldn't know what i meant if i referenced something not so mainstream. 45 found a nice sample and used it well, but he didn't chop it up or anything, and the point i was trying to make was when a sample gets seriously chopped up, it practically becomes an instrument in itself.

but no disrespect to 45, he's definitely nice.

A lot of cats don't know Fruity Loops can do 1/2 the S**t it does because they don't know what they're doing! PLUS U GOTTA BUILD UP YOUR SOUND BANK! I know cats w/over $10 g's worth of gear & their product sounds like $2!!! Read your manuals & study your tutorials...then it's all on u! 1 LUV!
