As a buddhist, I don't really believe in the concept of "me" in the first place. Self suggests that I am the same being all the time, which really isn't true. Each day, I change a little bit. I won't be the same person tomorrow that I am today. The process of change doesn't stop at death. So, there is no "period" when you die. You still go through change, just as you did in life. As for me, I could care less about preserving my personality, because that changes by the day as well.

Define "reanimate" because people have been classified dead and brought to life again through technology not prayer. I will check out you're vids.

you are always changing bodies, not just cause the faith says so as per reincarnation but from infancy to an adult body to an old man to dust again; the whole universe has just 2 undenayable constancies, change and desctruction. nothing is real accept the spiritual energy. it cant be created or destroyed but transfered to various forms.

i know i should not dare to enter this argument for changing a person's beliefs is futile and much of this is faith based since MODERN SCIENCE CAN'T prove OR disprove much of this. but we are not this mind or body. if so can u or any1 reanimate life in any lab anyhow? no. plus this religion is scientifically proven. please view my religion videos, mainly 1-2 for more info b4 discussing. great song and visuals, many of which i haven't seen before.

You are correct in that we get reused and are in a sense reincarnated. But to be aware of you're reincarnation would require certain parts of the body that has been destroyed. My argument that people die and never live again is true in this case because, well plant food is not a person and neither is top soil. So to get specific "WE" do not live again.

Your argument here is that people die and will never live again; well, to prove that, you have to know exactly what the state of living is.

When your body 'breaks' after a lifetime of use, 'you' return to the Earth in the form of decomposed matter. Who's to say you aren't still in a sense alive in the plants that consume your nutrients? Or in the animals that eat those plants? The body you have now is made of materials other living creatures once used. Maybe YOU are a reincarnation.

I don't think there is any "you" part inside the body that is not made up of flesh and blood. I don't think there is a separate entity that dwells inside of us. WE ARE our personality not our personality swims around in our bodies. A person is a person the brain causes our emotions and that is who we are, when that dies the person is dead. Period.

UcanbeGOD, so you mean the body takes damage everyday & dies due to normal wear and tear.? What happens to the "you" part inside the body? How do you define "YOU" in your vocabulary?

Nice quote! I never heard that one from Nietzsche. I don't think people or "spirits" or "souls" live again but to each their own.
