Late fifties? It was made in 1965, lol! Memory is a strange thing. ;) Yeah, it has unique soundtrack music. They used to run it here on late night TV. I have some esoteric music from movies and stuff, although it's on vinyl and cassette -- but if I can convert to mp3 I'll use 'em in videos to blow people's minds!

I've seen that film a long time ago. In the late fifties and early sixties and troughout, in Québec we use to have all the Italian film that where translated in France, shown to us Ad Nauseum on french TV. But some of them like this one with...HAaaa Ursula..And all the Fellini's where a delight! The music was so weird sometime! Yea it's 29 degree celcius here, but it won't last long lol! Salut man!

A Hunter and a Victim are randomly selected... one person hunts down the other -- to kill them! When you've killed your 10th person, you get riches galore. It's like an early Realilty TV show, lol.

Yes, I've read of Penrose's theory of microtubules in our neurons which interact on the quantum level. This idea is much debated. I find it needlessly reaching beyond what would seem reasonable based on evolutionary biology. The mass of synaptical connections is a reasonable enough explanation. Not that we understand consciousness completely. That we have the capapcity for self-reflection -- using symbols and metaphors -- sets us some level above animals.
