Take an real life example,Paul Gilbert,Paul did copy malmsteen during his early age,but he'd found his own way/style of playing after all.That is what Man Kidal can't archieve.

Man Kidal has no unique playing at all,he has been following the playing style of Malmsteen for his life time(even his outlook).All he can do is just a copy of Yngwie Malmsteen.That is why Man Kidal can't be a big Icon.

The vocals are total crap. The guitar work is decent, but the problem there is that this is one of those "throw a bunch of well known players into a blender and hope it tastes good at the end" and it seldom does.

Setuju, walaupun aku tak le minat sangat Man Keedal, tapi aku respek dia. Yang byk ckp dan kutuk2 tu, aku cabar korang cuba main sebelah Man Keedal ke Samad ke and the rest, tengok apa jadi. Cakap senang beb, main dalam biliks sorang2 memang nampak dasyat, tapi cuba main depan orang tengok macam mana. Yang penting kita hormat menghormati antara pemuzik....

Of course Man Kidal was influenced very much by Malmsteen.. because during his time Malmsteen was the MAN (even now).. but need to give him credit also la... he is lefthanded and playing reversed strings.. to play is difficult and let alone to learn or even read the notes.. NOT EASY LORR..
anyway 80s rockers are the best .. Hillary, Kid, Joe (Wings) all got styles ..

I don't mind people praising him, but I don't think he should be compared. Even if you think he is like malmsteen or petrucci or what, they can't be compared. all of them are good in their own way.
