The Punjabi University, Patiala, lists the following as dialects of Punjabi:
--Bhattiani, Rathi, Malwai, Powadhi, Pahari ,Doabi
--Kangri,Chambiali, Dogri, Wajeerawadi,Baar di Boli, Jangli, Jatki, Chenavri
--Multani, Bhawalpuri, Thalochri, Thali, Bherochi,Amritsar-Lahore, Kachi, Awankari ,Dhani ,Ghebi, Hindko, Swaen ,Chacchi ,Pothohari , Punchi

The main dialects are- Starting from Pakistan Punjab Lenhdi, Multani, Pothohari Pahari.
Areas of Jammu and Kashmir bordering Punjab : Pahari and Dogri
Standard Punjabi spoken in Sialkot, Lahore districts of Pakistan and Amritsar district and part of Ferozpur .
In the Indian Punjab the dialects are Majhi, Doabi, Malwi . In the areas of other states bordering Indian Punjab Kangari, Dogri and Bhatiani ( bordering Rajasthan) are considered Punjabi dialect.

Punjabi language has many dialects. What distinguishes these dialects from one another are certain words and expressions more often used in each one, though all those exist in each dialect but not used often , but are understood quite well. And certain "tonal" expressions. I am from Doaba. In the present song I understood each and every word and the sense in which the expression were used. And all those words exist in Doabi Punjabi though the expressions may not be commonly used.
