By redblur12 [Affiliate User] 1210729321 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removei had a calibra turbo some years ago , awesome car,im on2 my 2nd calibra now but this 1 i have is only an 8v :(
By lfcgazza [Affiliate User] 1210413002 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removehad a 2.0 16v but now got a v6 and I cant believe how much faster it is. The thing about the car is the looks, the car has a sort of cult status. I see nothing on the roads that can compare. and they're getting quite rare now. (a good one that is!)
By benjinh0 [Affiliate User] 1208332331 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveGreat-looking car, even nearly 20 years later.
By whambam06 [Affiliate User] 1207645364 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveDon't forget it's all GM under the skin. ;-)
Up to '88 you had the Chevrolet Cavalier, which was our Mk2 Cavalier and Europe's Opel Ascona. But the Mk3 Cavalier/Opel Vectra A, was replaced in the US with a completely different car still using the Cavalier name.
I'm a Manta owner, and apart from not retaining RWD on the 2WD models I think the Calibra was a sound replacement. They're certainly more economical (and faster) than my thirsty GT/E - couldn't really touch it for looks and handling though. Good one Vauxhall!
By eradeziel [Affiliate User] 1206332715 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI really like how those look, but the US has never seen a Vauxhall. Closest styling wise here would have to be SAAB.
By coreydl2008 [Affiliate User] 1204632597 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethis guy gives a really good report. top gear from the days when they actually tested everyday cars
By 2litresierra [Affiliate User] 1203412668 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewrong wrong wrong RED TOP 16v is the best
By veccy16v [Affiliate User] 1199959864 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeid have the V6 or the Turbo but... still have a Cavalier GSi 2000 over it, its DEFINITELY NOT the best car in the world they are poorly built and fall to bits but still look very cool, good in a straight line, wouldnt depend on the handling tbh. id take the escort cossy or the rover 220turbo over them i think.
By checkerz18 [Affiliate User] 1199958686 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewish they make top gear like this again an intellegent motoring magazine show
