Shows how to pair the edges of the 5x5 cube. This is the most time consuming part of solving the 5x5 Rubik's Cube Professor. PART 4 can be found under VIDEO RESPONSES!

This part covers how to match up TWO edge pieces at a time. The two edge pieces we will be working with in this video are the OUTER/WING edge pieces and the INNER/MIDDLE edge pieces. There are more advanced methods of edge pairing which can match upto 6 pairs of "tredges" (12 edge pieces) at a time, however, since it is a little more involved I will not cover multiple edge pairing in this video.

I first go into detail on how to identify two edge pieces and then position them so they can be matched.

PART 4 IS NOW OUT!! CLICK ON THE VIDEO UNDER VIDEO RESPONSES TO WATCH THE FINAL PART. IF YOU ARE NOT ALREADY SUBSCRIBED, PLEASE DO SO IN ORDER TO GET NOTIFICATION WHEN I RELEASE NEW VIDEOS. THANK YOU FOR WATCHING!

  • I just recommend ...

I just recommend doing it for the beginner method because it allows you to visualize it at that point as a 4x4. But it's really about where the edges are positioned. If you have already matched two and there is another one in sight, you might as well match it to them and do all 3 pieces.

  • So... Why is it ...

So... Why is it that you do pairs instead of directly doing all 3 of the side edge pieces?
Isn't it easier to do it all at the same time?
