Also when i found out she was coming back to Dr Who i wondered whether the BBC would have any worries over it. I don't think they did or should have because no matter who it is, a Disney star or anyone who's been in a kids show, its going to cause controversy when they leave and do something even remotely adult in subject matter. Obviously i do like the show and i think that this woman's side of the story is worth telling. The promo people should be more responsible though i agree.

Well when i heard about this show i was unsure about the fans she had from DW watching and i didn't really know whether to watch because i found it a bit wierd at first. I heard she said in couple of interviews (i haven't read them so don't quote me) that she knew it would upset kids that they couldn't watch etc. I'm not here to defend Billie Piper or justify her acting choices though lol so i'll shut up about that. Your right about the advertising and the watershed.

But really its the advertising companies that were shoving it in kids faces, not the actress, and I enjoyed watching it. To be honest things that are to be watched after the 9pm watershed should be advertised where only adults can see: so magazines, tv ads and so on.

Thanks! I used AVG editor, there is definately better software though i mean it's great but theres a limit to what you can do with it. What do you use? Glad you dig the music lol, i may use more tracks by Garbage in other vids.

I think it's always going to be tricky as an actor being in Dr Who. I mean being part of something with so much mythology,fandom and love surrounding it must be a huge responsibilty. With Dr who of course comes the kids and when your part of the 'brand' you have the responsibility to conduct yourself in the right way. It must be just as hard for parents who's kids want to watch other shows David Tennant has made but i suppose actors need new 'challenges'.

I do feel sorry for kids and how confusing it must be to see Billie as Rose,a character they maybe really love, suddenly be in this other show totally different and totally out of bounds to them. I mean i even found it strange at first. The kids today are bombarded with sex and actresses(in some cases kids themselves)being promoted in an overtly sexual way. As an actress she does seem aware of her young audience and maybe a positive is that she has a balance with the Phillip Pullman character.

Also she was very much a kids icon on Dr Who, and they all knew her and related to her, then suddenly she was in posters nearly nakeds all over bus stops and posters in places where kids hang out, glamoursing sex as in industry and the self as a commodity. I feel sorry for kids nowadays, esp in the cities where advertising is at its worst.

Oh and also i think girls are intelligent enough to know that this is not the way it is for most prostitues who are forced into it through cetain cercumstances. Most people are aware the reality of it is different and this girl is in a minority that choose happily to do it. I don't think this show is going to make girls rush into prostitution. I'm not trying to make it look cool or normal i don't think the t.v. show is either, it just shows the true life of one woman.

I totally agree that in most cases prostitution is terrible and that for those who have to resort to it the feeling of selling yourself destroys self esteem. Believe me i don't think kindly on glamourising prostitution nor is it a subject to be taken lightly. The womans life that this show is based on is very different it's her side of it she's not claiming to speak for anyone else. I don't watch the show for sex, it's nice as a woman to see a woman in control for a change.

Stupid stupid show...nothing can make prostitution look normal...its the most belittling, soul crushing, disgusting, demoralising and desperate thing any woman or man can do. Mum I want to be 'belle de jour' when i grow up....What is the world of media coming to. Next their going to do a show on the glamorous life of a peodophile...who knows?!!!
